What are the Highlander Trims & Innovations?

As you select your new Highlander from our inventory, you will need to choose between five available trims for the 2019 model year.

These options include the LE at the base level followed by the LE Plus, the XLE, the SE and the Limited. While all five trims are available with gas powertrains, you may also select a hybrid powertrain with select trims. Standard and optional features progressively improve as you step up in trim levels. The 2019 Highlander LE has the features that you may be looking for in a new SUV. Its features include a rear spoiler, cloth interior with numerous color choices, illumination with remote keyless entry, automatic off-on headlights, LED tail lights, daytime running lights, 18-inch wheels, heated and power-adjusted side mirrors, integrated turn signals in the side mirrors, a digital and customizable driver's instrumentation panel, multiple 12-volt power outlets, a full-color 6.1-inch infotainment screen, auto up-down powered windows, power door locks with a speed-sensing feature and an integrated backup camera.

SUV buyers who want a top-of-the-line Highlander will benefit from additional features in their Limited trim. These include LED fog lights, blue LED ambient interior lighting, a Smart Key system, a larger infotainment screen, voice recognition, 19-inch wheels, multiple USB ports, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and other impressive features.

Toyota Highlander Power & Performance for 2019

2019 Toyota Highlander FrontRegardless of whether you select a gas or hybrid engine, your 2019 Toyota Highlander may impress you with superior performance each time you cruise down the road. All powertrains are paired with front-wheel drive, a unified body construction design, power-assisted braking, and electric power steering.

While most trims have an independent suspension system, a sport-tuned suspension is loaded into select Highlander SUVs. The entry-level Highlander is powered by a 4-cylinder DOHC, 2.7-liter engine. This powertrain gives you 184 foot-pounds of torque with 185 horsepower. A variation is a V6 DOHC, 3.5-liter engine with 263 foot-pounds of torque with 295 horsepower. This same powertrain is available in a hybrid variant. Our Toyota sales team is ready to get you on the road for a test drive to compare the performance capabilities of each powertrain.
