You might have heard by now that Scion has been given the axe by Toyota. With the passing of the Scion brand, so too will the FR-S name be laid to rest.

When the Toyota Prius debuted nearly 20 years ago the world had never seen anything quite like it. Bold, fun to drive and wonderfully efficient, the Prius marked a whole new way that consumers looked at their cars. Well for 2016, the Prius is entering its fourth generation; a new incarnation that continues its legacy as a leader in the hybrid car market.

Toyota is shaking up their architecture program this year, with the introduction of the all-new “Toyota New Global Architecture" platform. This new platform represents a whole new business and design model that Toyota is working on; one that the automaker says will lead to a reduction in costs, while also creating compact and efficient vehicles that speak to the heart of what consumers have been asking for.

A brand-new green car is coming to Toyota’s lineup: the RAV4 Hybrid. Debuting at the New York Auto Show this April, the new 2016 RAV4 Hybrid is the automaker’s most recent foray into the hybrid segment. This newest version of the RAV4 marks Toyota’s eighth hybrid offering since it released the Prius 15 years ago.

Toyota has been garnering tons of praise thanks to their all-new Mirai hydrogen fuel cell design. Most recently, the Japanese automaker has been recognized by “Fast Company.” The business and tech magazine named Toyota as one of the “Most Innovative Companies for 2015” in large part for Toyota’s new Mirai design.
