2021 Toyota Tacoma Exterior

What's New For the 2021 Toyota Tacoma?

For 2021, the Toyota Tacoma is offered in two new trim levels: the Nightshade Edition and a special trim called the Trail Special. These two trims vary from the previous Tacoma lineup in several ways. The Nightshade mostly has aesthetic changes with an all-black exterior and black interior accents to match. The Trail Special Edition is now the most rugged and off-road worthy of all Tacoma trims. The Trail Edition gets a few interior changes, too, including a cooler box for the driver's side. There are up to 10 exterior paint choices offered for the lineup, which gives you full control over providing the 2021 Tacoma a look that suits your preferences.

The Tacoma Has Many Features Across Several Trims

There are multiple Tacoma trims available in 2021 to give you a Tacoma that meets your lifestyle and needs. All trims are offered in either a regular or double cab configuration. The first trim in the lineup is the SR. This trim has 16-inch wheels and a back window that slides open for easy access to the cargo bed. The side mirrors are heated and power-adjustable. The bed, which is made of composite, does not require a bedliner. It also has a movable tie-down mechanism. The interior comes standard with Wi-Fi, which is a rarity among midsize trucks. The base trim also has a seven-inch infotainment screen, which is upgraded to an eight-inch screen on the second trim level. A variety of advanced safety aids are standard, along with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a sound system with six speakers.

The SR5 is next on the list with a larger infotainment display and remote keyless start. The exterior gets a more polished look with chrome accents. The SR5 also gives you a V6 engine choice if you want more power and towing capabilities. The TRD Sport has larger alloy wheels and a body-colored bumper. It also has keyless ignition and keyless entry. There is more charging power with a 120V power outlet in the cargo bed. The TRD Off-Road has chrome accents on the bumper and a sporty hood scoop. Automatic dual-zone climate control is standard, along with leather seats and heated seats. You can also get a premium seven-speaker JBL sound system for models with the automatic transmission.
