Toyota celebrated "Back to the Future Day" with a fantastic campaign that not only showed off the all-new Toyota Mirai, but also saw the arrival of a new version of Marty's "dream truck" and a fun ad campaign with the film's stars.

Toyota brought together the stars of "Back to the Future Part II," Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, to appear in a series of commercials highlighting the movie's predictions and the current state of “future cars.” One of those “future cars” is the all-new Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that officially went on sale on Oct. 21.

“This Back to the Future-inspired milestone has taken 30 years to arrive, and Toyota has been developing hydrogen fuel cell technology almost that long,” said Bill Fay, Toyota division group vice president and general manager. “There’s no better way to generate excitement for a turning point in automotive history than with a film that celebrated the possibilities of the future.”

Other fun moments in Toyota's "Back to the Future Day" celebrations was the restyling of Marty's "dream truck" from the films. The automaker used the all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma to recreate the hauler, giving it a modern twist that was truly amazing.
