What's New For the 2020 Toyota Camry & Camry Hybrid?

In 2020, the most significant change to the Toyota Camry comes in the area of performance and handling. For the first time, the Camry is equipped with a responsive all-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is standard on select trims of the 2020 Camry and available on others. A new trim, called the TRD, joins the Toyota Camry lineup this year as well, giving consumers nearly ten different trims to choose from. The Camry gets a few minor updates to the interior, too. Starting this year, Android Auto comes standard on all Camry trim levels.

The Camry belongs to the eighth generation dating back to 2018. The 2020 Camry hybrid is still offered with the same three trims that were available in 2019. Like the gasoline-powered Camry, the hybrid receives improvements to the cabin, including the addition of Android Auto as a standard amenity. A wide windshield gives the hybrid's driver exceptional visibility. The interior is spacious and comfortable, and the hybrid has an impressive amount of cargo space to match. Fuel efficiency, naturally, is another strong suit of the Toyota Camry hybrid. With its combined gasoline and electric engine, the Camry features standout acceleration and overall performance.

It includes a good audio system paired with a seven-inch infotainment screen equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The LE adds larger 17-inch alloy wheels and the innovative Toyota Safety Sense package. The XLE has a larger eight-inch infotainment screen and 18-inch silver wheels. The V6 version adds a panoramic roof and an Audio Plus sound system.

The SE gets some black exterior accents, including a black front grille and black 18-inch wheels. The Nightshade Edition gets a fully blacked-out exterior. The XSE upgrades to 19-inch wheels and an infotainment system with an eight-inch screen. The hybrid lineup starts with the LE. It has a multi-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support. Smart key entry and push-button start are standard. The SE features a sporty black front grille, a sport-tuned suspension, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The XLE has an Audio Plus sound system and polished 18-inch wheels.

The hybrid's engine is a 2.5L four-cylinder that delivers 176 HP and 163 LB-FT of torque. It also has an automatic transmission. Both have multiple driving modes.

Toyota Camry Safety In the Forefront

Crumple zones deflect the force of an impact, while stability control and traction control enable precise handling and control.
