Toyota of Dallas Shows Off the New Toyota Avalon
What's not to like in the new Toyota Avalon? Not much! Only those who pursue speed and want tight seats to hold them in place while careening around curves will eschew the Avalon's powerful, yet fuel efficient engines, wide comfort seating and soft ride. Kelly Blue Book's Contributing Editor Joe Tralongo makes no effort to hide his thumbs-up viewpoint in his 2015 Toyota Avalon review, stating: "If you want big style, big comfort and big fuel economy without too big a price tag, Toyota's 2015 Avalon sedan has it in spades." And no wonder, as last year's Avalon was awarded KBB's Best Resale Value distinction for its class. Join us now for a closer look at the styling, comfort and convenience features, powertrain specs and safety systems you'll find in a 2015 Toyota Avalon in Dallas.
The Avalon is offered up with a new Touring Sport trim for 2015, while the carry-over trims, XLE, Premium, Touring and Limited, gain updates in Toyota's Entune system which offers an app suite in Premium trims. Non-hybrid models picked up steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
The full-size Avalon XLE sedan seats five comfortably in its spacious, leather upholstered interior cabin. Enjoy full power accessories including heated and power-adjusting front seats. You'll also find a rear-view camera, dual-zone climate control and hands-free calling through Bluetooth connectivity on every 2015 Toyota Avalon in Dallas. Ultimate creature-comforts are found in the Limited trim with its heated rear seats, tri-zone auto climate control and JBL premium sound. Available advanced safety systems include adaptive cruise control, blind spot and rear cross-traffic alerts and a pre-collision system.
Choose from two Avalon powertrains: a conventional 3.5-liter, 268-horsepower V6 and six-speed automatic transmission that offers a satisfying fuel economy/performance combination; or go greener with the 2.5-liter inline-4 hybrid and eCVT powertrain that nets 200 horsepower through its engine/battery combination. The hybrid choice almost doubles city driving fuel economy and makes significant gains in highway mileage as well. You'll lose about 2 cubic feet of trunk space (from 16 down to 14), but unless you plan on long family motoring vacations, it's a small trade-off.
