Toyota Land Cruiser

The 200 Series Land Cruiser Heritage Edition debuted in 2020. It returns in 2021, as Toyota says, for a "second climb." The Heritage Edition gets some changes in 2021, including a now-available bench-style seat in the back for a total seating capacity of eight. Previously, it was only available with seating for five. The base Land Cruiser trim comes standard with eight seats. The Heritage Edition also unveils an expanded exterior color palette this year. It adds two new paint options in 2021, which include a shimmery silver and a metallic black. The Land Cruiser Heritage Edition looks the part of an adventure-ready SUV with LED lights, a roof rack, and custom vintage badges. It also has some features and amenities in its mechanical system that make it especially worthy of taking on tough terrain.

The 2021 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition has a series of mechanical elements that offer capability but also a comfortable and smooth ride. The Heritage Edition is equipped with the same mechanical configuration that it had in 2020, which is a powerful V8 engine with a 5.7L capacity. The engine's peak power output is 380 HP, and its peak torque is about 400 LB-FT. The Heritage Edition has an eight-speed automatic transmission that is electronically controlled for smooth and efficient gear-shifting. Four-wheel drive is standard, and low-range gearing provides superior traction and control in unpredictable conditions. The independent suspension system on the Heritage Edition and a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System ensures a smooth and comfortable ride. Various driving modes, including multi-terrain select, CRAWL control, and downhill assist control enhance the Land Cruiser's ride quality. The SUV is capable of towing up to 8,500 pounds.

Inside, the Heritage Edition has a modern and well-appointed cabin. The Heritage Edition has seating for a minimum of five and a maximum of eight. Leather seats provide comfort for all occupants, while the front seats are climate-controlled with heat and ventilation as well. The cabin has 28 air vents for circulation, and there are multiple zones of climate control. Safety includes radar-assisted forward collision mitigation and pedestrian detection. Automatic emergency braking is standard, as is radar cruise control. Lane departure alert and lane-keep assist complete the Heritage Edition's safety package. Standard technology includes a wireless phone charging pad, a nine-inch infotainment console with Bluetooth and voice-controlled navigation, and a JBL sound system with 14 speakers.
