The St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer is back in Dallas this month and we’ve got all the info on this terrific community event.
St. Jude is one of the top children’s research hospitals in the country and their annual walk/run works to help the hospital raise funds for their work in combating childhood cancers. Members of the Dallas community will be coming together on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. From there participants can either walk or run a 5K stretch throughout the city’s streets.
Registration for the event is $10 to start. Participants who raise $100 will receive an official event t-shirt, while those who raise $250 will become a Fearless Fundraiser Club member and get even more St. Jude gear. All the funds raised from the walk/run will allow St. Jude to provide treatment, food, travel and housing to families of sick children for free.
According to their website, “St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.”
