Toyota of Dallas is proud to announce that we raised over $2,000 this July for our local Special Olympic athletes. This donation is going to several Olympians in the Dallas area to help them continue their training for another year.

The Special Olympics has been a world renowned organization for nearly 50 years. Begun by Eunice Kennedy Shriver – of the Kennedy clan - in the early 1950s as a summer day camp for those with intellectual disabilities, the Special Olympics has grown into an international movement that works to help give athletes “continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.”

Toyota of Dallas is very excited to be working with this amazing organization and helping our local Olympians meet their goals and dreams. The 2015 Special Olympic World Games took place this past weekend and was one of the most exciting Games to happen in years. If you would like more information on how you can support your local chapter of the Special Olympics, visit their website here.

We would like to congratulate all the athletes who participated in the World Games this year and send warm wishes to all those who are looking forward to participating next year!
