The 2017 Detroit Auto Show welcomed the premier of the brand-new 2018 Toyota Camry. Redesigned, the model features a longer wheelbase, a lowered hood and an upgraded grille that gives it a dramatic appearance. Be sure to check it out when it arrives at Toyota of Dallas later this year.

While the exterior of the new Camry is impressive, the interior is even more desirable. A brand-new dashboard design creates a sense of openness and the driver-focused cockpit aims to provide top-notch comfort. There’s also an array of premium materials throughout the cabin. When it comes to technologies, the Camry offers a new “Human Machine Interface” complete with a center stack control, a Head-Up Display, and a separate 7-inch display. An updated Entune 3.0 system is also available, along with optional Wi-Fi.

In addition to amenities, the Camry is equipped with new safety technologies. Among these include pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, forward collision warning and automatic braking.

A selection of new powertrains found their way onto the latest version of the sedan. A 2.5L naturally-aspirated four-cylinder and a 3.5L V6 engine with D-4S Fuel injection are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Camry Hybrid is outfitted with the 2.5L four-cylinder and sports a new CVT that offers a Sport mode. With its new standard engines, the Camry is expected to deliver an EPA-estimated 54 mpg city and 50 mpg highway.
