Actor Paul Walker’s Toyota Supra from the Fast and the Furious film series has just sold for over $185,000 at auction.
The Fast and the Furious films are some of the most popular movies in recent memory, doing a great deal to help bring car culture to the masses. Walker’s Supra played a huge role in the first film and has become a bit of an automotive icon, especially since Walker's death in 2013. The car was put on action at Mecum Auctions in Indianapolis and went to a buyer for the nearly $200,000 price tag.
The stunt car is a beautiful piece of machinery that is indicative of Toyota's commitment to power and precision on all their cars. The car sports a full body kit, bright graphics and a big wing spoiler. It produces a powerful 220 horsepower from its 3.0-liter inline V6 engine. It also has two Holley Performance nitrous oxide bottles at the rear, as well as a roll cage.
The Toyota Super isn’t the only car associated with the actor. Several of Walker’s other sports cars have also gone on the auction block, each one bringing in several thousand dollars. These impressive showings, including that of the Supra, are a true testament to Walker’s legacy and the effect these amazing roadsters have had car culture in the U.S.
