Operation Kindness’ annual Dog Day Afternoon Festival is back for its 21st year. A terrific festival for animal lovers around Dallas, Dog Day Afternoon is the perfect place to bring your pup for a “bow wow blast”! Taking place at Flag Pole Hill Park in Dallas, the festival will be held June 6, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Presented by Operation Kindness and Pet Supplies Plus, this fun and fabulous festival features several dog-related activates, including Dallas Dog and Disc Club performances, a pooch kissing booth, “Ask the Trainer” and “Ask the Vet” booths, and even free pet CPR demonstrations. There will also be tons of adoptable pets on hand for you to take home and make a part of your family.
Enter your pup into several of the Canine Contests happening at the festival, such as Best Pooch Smooch, Best Costume and Stupid Pet Tricks. Rebekah Black from local radio station KLUV will be on hand to judge the contests. While free goodie bags will be given out to the first 750 guests.
We hope you will join dog lovers from around Dallas this weekend to celebrate all the wonderful pets we have in our lives. Admission is free, so bring your whole family to this year’s Dog Day Afternoon Festival in Dallas!
