The 2016 Toyota Avalon is debuting at the Chicago Auto Show this February and the automaker has just released a teaser image of what the new sedan will look like. Toyota is also presenting several “special editions” of some of its most popular sedans at the upcoming show, but the new Avalon is its most exciting debut.
We can’t tell too much about the new car from the image, but we can see that the sedan will have a redesigned front fascia, as well as a larger trapezoidal lower grille and new LED head- and fog-lights. These new offerings on the Avalon keep it in line with their other redesigned sedans like the all-new 2015 Camry.
Under the hood, the Avalon will most likely sport a similar powertrain to its current model, which has a 3.5-liter V6 engine that rates at around 268 horsepower. The Avalon Hybrid will also most likely keep its current 200 hp 2.5-liter Atkinson engine. We’ll let you know more about the all-new 2016 Avalon as more details come out of the Chicago Auto Show. Take a look at the teaser image above to see if you can spot any more new additions or changes to the popular sedan.
Expect the new Avalon to arrive in Dallas sometime this summer. For now, check out our full selection of the 2015 Toyota Avalon and the Avalon Hybrid at Toyota of Dallas.
