On March 26th, Toyota of Dallas held a Grand Opening Gala, celebrating the opening of its new 80,000-square foot dealership. Executives from Toyota Motor Sales and Gulf States Toyota gathered to commemorate the reopening of Toyota of Dallas and to tour its new state-of-the-art facilities.
The centerpiece of the event was the presentation of an ornate, gold-handled Katana samurai sword. The presentation was made by Ernest Bastien of Toyota Motor Sales to Managing Partner Darren Dortch. The sword symbolizes Toyota of Dallas' goal to protect the quality and integrity of our Dallas Toyota dealer and the strength of our partnership with Toyota.
“In feudal Japan, receiving a sword from one’s master or ally was considered a great honor,” explained Bastien. Mr. Dortch noted, “The sword represents the resolve of our partnership with Toyota and will be a treasured by our dealership family.”
